Biography

Parveen Dosanjh joined Duggan McHugh in 2022 as Senior Counsel with more than 15 years of experience in employment law, and nearly 10 years having previously owned her own law firm. Prior to joining Duggan McHugh, Parveen gained an insightful perspective into employment litigation through extensive experience representing employees. As an expert in the complexities of employment law disputes, Parveen brings a passion to advising small to medium-sized business owners in avoiding claims pertaining to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, and disability accommodation as well as wage and hour issues. Parveen is committed to working closely with her employer clients in order to obtain their goals, whether it is through effective guidance on workplace issues or tactical employment litigation defense. When litigation is unavoidable, Parveen is committed to a thorough defense of her clients tailored to their needs.

Parveen grew up in an immigrant household where education was the highest priority. Her mother, a retired elementary school teacher with 43 years of service, emphasized the value of education from a young age. Parveen graduated with her B.A. from San Francisco State University with a double major and then earned her law degree from Golden Gate University. Prior to pursuing her law degree, Parveen served as an educator to adult students with special needs at Laney College in Oakland, California. She has also served as a tutor for autistic children in immigrant communities internationally.

Parveen's career has also included time as a West Sacramento Planning Commissioner, and significant pro bono work. She has also testified on employment policies to the Senate Judiciary Committee. When she's not at the office, she stays busy raising her two daughters and traveling.
