Biography

Rita Dunn joined Duggan McHugh as an associate attorney after working for the firm as a law clerk. She provides advice and counsel to companies in employee and personnel matters ranging from harassment and discrimination to wage and hour compliance. She also defends employers in litigation matters.

Rita graduated with distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with a concentration in Legislative and Public Policy. In law school, Rita worked as a torts fellow and completed a judicial externship for Magistrate Judge Allison Claire of the federal Eastern District Court of California. She received her B.S. with honors in Political Science and a minor in History from Humboldt State University, California.

Prior to joining Duggan McHugh, Rita worked as a paralegal and law clerk for several private law firms in Sacramento.

In her spare time, Rita enjoys camping, powerlifting and watching reality TV with her husband and rescue pup.
