Biography

Carrie Adams Hayes first joined Duggan McHugh as a Post-Bar Law Clerk before her current role as an Associate Attorney. Carrie will offer legal support representing employers in all areas of employment law. Carrie’s legal experience includes roles with the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office and the Governor’s Office of Business & Economic Development. In these positions, she drafted memoranda, motions, and regulatory analyses; conducted extensive research on statutory and procedural issues; and developed policy recommendations affecting both public agencies and private employers.

Before entering the legal field, Carrie built a distinguished career in business operations, sales, and marketing. Her decade of experience managing client relationships, negotiating agreements, and developing organizational procedures provides her with a practical understanding of the workplace dynamics, operational pressures, and compliance challenges that employers face.

Carrie attended McGeorge School of Law, where she competed on McGeorge’s Negotiation Team and advanced to the national competition. She graduated with honors and received the Outstanding Student Achievement Award at commencement. Carrie also holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Business Management from Arizona State University.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Carrie enjoys competitive athletics—including bodybuilding, CrossFit, and triathlons—as well as hiking and cooking.
